☀️ General Solar Solutions
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic (PV) cells. When sunlight hits the panels, it generates direct current (DC) electricity. This DC power is then sent to an inverter, which converts it into alternating current (AC) – the type of electricity used by your home appliances. Once converted, the electricity can be used to power your home, and any excess energy can be stored in a battery (if installed) or exported back to the grid, depending on your system setup.
Yes, all our solar installations are fully legal and comply with local regulations. We handle all necessary approvals, including applications to the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). For hybrid solar systems with battery storage, we also manage the required applications and ensure full compliance with guidelines set by TNB and the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga, ST).
Yes, we offer both grid-tied systems (without batteries) and hybrid systems (with battery storage), depending on your needs and budget. Hybrid systems allow you to store excess solar energy during the day and use it at night or during power outages, giving you more energy independence. This is especially useful in situations where the ATAP program is not available.
No. As the output of solar panels is intermittent (affected by clouds, rain), it is unsafe to supply power from the system during a blackout. The system will automatically shut down if it detects that there is no supply from the power grid. It will restart automatically when grid power is restored. If you require power during blackouts, you should consider our hybrid systems with dedicated battery backup loads.
📈 Savings & Financials
We calculate your savings based on current TNB tariff rates, using the respective electricity bill details you input into the estimator. The monthly savings are averaged throughout the year, accounting for both monsoon (rainy/cloudy) months and high-yield sunnier months. Our estimations are directly reinforced by historical empirical generation data collected from existing customer systems.
The Solar Accelerated Transition Action Programme (ATAP) is an initiative by the Malaysian government that allows you to export excess solar energy back to the Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) grid. In return, you receive credits which can be used to offset your TNB bill monthly. For example, if your solar system generates more electricity than you use during the day, the extra power goes to the grid. Later, when you use electricity at night or during cloudy weather, those credits help reduce your monthly electricity charges — giving you consistent savings.
That's perfectly fine! Even if you're not home during the day, your solar system will still generate electricity. For a grid-tied system, the excess energy you don't use can be exported back to the grid under the Solar ATAP program, earning you credits to offset your electricity bill. If you have a hybrid solar system with battery storage, the excess energy generated during the day will be stored in the battery. This stored power can then be used later in the evening or during power outages (on the backup load), giving you more flexibility and reducing your reliance on the grid.
The estimated savings are accurate based on our collected empirical data from our customers, as well as software simulations. While we try our best to design a system that reflects these savings, we cannot guarantee a fixed amount of power generated due to weather patterns that can temporarily impact system output. No. As we do everything from sales, installation, and maintenance in-house, all costs pertaining to the application with regulatory bodies (SEDA, TNB), as well as installation materials, manpower, and structures, are fully included within the upfront system price. Maintenance visits are also included in the system price for the first 3 years (Residential), or 5 years (Commercial) for our standard package. Any issues that can be solved online remain free-of-charge.
🔧 Maintenance & Monitoring
Not necessarily. Solar panels are designed to be extremely low-maintenance, and in most cases, rainwater helps keep them clean. We usually recommend professional cleaning once every 2 to 3 years, depending on your area's environmental conditions. If your panels are exposed to excessive dust, bird droppings, or nearby construction, more frequent cleaning might help maintain optimal performance.
Each of our solar systems includes a monitoring software that allows us to troubleshoot performance issues online. Therefore, most issues can be identified and resolved without the need for a physical maintenance visit. If any on-site maintenance visits are required, our technical teams will attend to them promptly. Maintenance visits are included in the system price for the first 3 years (Residential), or 5 years (Commercial) for our standard package. Any issues that can be solved online remain free-of-charge.
